Well, I am using Final Cut Pro X. I got it a few years ago when I was in school wasting money on a Digital Cinematography degree. I was using iMovie for the longest and recently I decide to start using it for Youtube editing. I'm trying to get into making movies along with my youtube channel. It does EVERYTHING I need it to, but I am still learning the software.

i use Devinci Resolve, the free version is pretty advanced but easy to learn. I'm very new but I'm not sure what else i could want. the only downside is i have to save my work constantly cause it may crash if i try to do to many things at once. but over all very easy to learn and have not found anything i cant do for free.

I used to use iMovie then moved onto Final Cut Pro, I'm tempted to do the trial of Premiere to see how I like it - just as a new challenge really! It's funny because now I actually struggle to find what I need on iMovie as it's so simple but things are definitely different ha!

I use Da Vinci too and I absolutely love it - best editing software hands down. :)

Mine doesn't crash often BUT if you go to Project Settings > Autosave I believe, you can set it to autosave automatically every 5 minutes, and it will save you some lost work :)
Black magic Fusion (the equivalent of AE) does have automatic autosaves in case of crash.

Formally I used Adobe's Premiere Elements and loved it ... then I switched to Premiere Pro and discovered the ability to stabilize footage and color grade. Both were game changers!  Love the program and highly recommend both, depending on your level of interest and willingness to invest in quality programs.
